The questions we answer every week.
Grouped by what you own, plus the e-warranty. If your question is not here, send it to us and we will answer it, and then add it to this page.
Before you choose
What people ask us first, whether the glass is on a car or on a building.
How do I get a price?
On WhatsApp. For a car, send us the model, the year and how dark you want it. For a building, we schedule a survey and quote from what we measure. There is no price list on this website because the right film depends on the glass, on which side gets the sun and on what actually bothers you.
Which film should I choose?
Tell us the problem first, not the product. Heat, glare, privacy, UV and glass safety are five different jobs, and they are not solved by the same film. Every published figure for every film is on the datasheets page, and a consultant will help you choose before you spend anything.
Is every NanoShade film nano-ceramic?
Almost every one. Nano HD, Nano UV400, Nanoplus and SolaMax are nano-ceramic, and so is the 4 mil safety film. Sola-X is the one exception. It uses a premium chip dye instead, so it holds its colour like the rest of the range, and for many customers it solves the problem at a lower cost.
Do you work outside the main cities?
Yes. In the main cities our own team surveys and installs. Everywhere else we work with technicians we have vetted, trained and certified ourselves. Same film, same method, same e-warranty. Tell us your city and we will tell you who would be doing the work.
Can you compare your numbers against the film I am already looking at?
Send us the spec sheet you are looking at and we will put ours next to it, figure for figure, on the same test standard.
Car window film
There is no survey for a vehicle. The quote comes from your car model and the film you pick.
Do I need to bring the car to you for a quote?
No. Send us your car model and the film you are interested in on WhatsApp and we will quote from that. You only come to us for the installation itself.
Does the film affect e-toll, GPS or my phone signal?
No. Our car films contain no metal layer, so your e-toll card reads at the gate, your GPS works, your phone keeps its signal and the radio is unchanged. The signal problems people remember come from older metallised films, a different technology from a different generation.
Can I mix different shades on different windows?
Yes, and most owners do. A lighter windscreen with darker sides and rear is the normal choice. Tell us your car model and we will recommend a combination that stays comfortable for night driving.
Is night driving a problem with film on the glass?
No. Every film we fit stays clear to see through after dark, on every film in the range, so the film itself does not affect night driving. The only thing that changes the view is the shade you choose, and most owners fit a lighter windscreen with darker sides and rear.
Does a darker film mean a cooler cabin?
Not on its own. Heat rejection comes from the ceramic layer, not the darkness. A light windscreen shade stops the same infrared heat as the darkest rear shade, so a lighter shade costs you nothing in cabin temperature.
Will it turn purple or bubble like cheap film?
No. Purpling and bubbling come from cheap dyed film, where the dye breaks down and the adhesive fails. We do not fit that film. None of ours will turn purple, and bubbling, peeling, delamination, adhesive failure and excessive fading are all covered by the e-warranty.
Building window film
A building quote follows an on-site survey. The survey is a paid, scheduled visit.
Is the survey free?
No. The survey is a paid, scheduled visit where we measure the glass, check orientation and specify the right film per elevation. The quote follows from it. Asking questions on WhatsApp costs nothing.
How much can we realistically cut the AC bill?
Cooling is usually the largest part of a commercial building electricity bill, and solar heat through glass is the main cause. Film keeps up to 95% of that solar energy outside, and cooling cost typically falls about 30%, est. That figure is an estimate: the real result depends on glass area, orientation, your AC system and the film selected, which is exactly what the on-site survey establishes.
How disruptive is installation on a building that is still operating?
We work zone by zone so a floor stays usable. Most rooms are back in use the same day. The sequence and timing are agreed at the survey, including work outside normal hours if that suits you better.
Can we get privacy without making the glass dark?
Yes. Nano Frost is a frosted film that passes daylight but blocks the view through, which suits partitions, bathrooms and street-level glass. Nano Silver gives daytime privacy from the outside, and you can still see out from inside.
Will it interfere with WiFi, phones or building systems?
Our heat control films are non-metal, so WiFi, mobile signal and access control are unaffected. Nano Silver is a reflective film, so if you have signal-sensitive areas, tell us at the survey and we will choose a different film for those areas.
The e-warranty
Digital, registered against your installation, and verifiable years later.
What is an e-warranty, exactly?
It is a digital warranty registered against your installation. You receive a certificate by email with its own number, and the record stays in our register, so cover can be checked at any time. There is no card to lose.
When does the warranty start?
From the installation date on your invoice, not from the date you activated it. Activate within 30 days of installation.
What is covered, and what is not?
Covered: glue failure, cracking and crazing, bubbling and blistering, peeling and delamination, and factory film defects, plus the reinstall labour by our own team. Not covered: glass breakage from impact, scratches from blades or rough pads, damage from harsh chemicals, and any film a third party has removed or reworked.
Can the warranty be transferred if I sell?
No. The cover stays with the original owner named at activation. If you are buying a car or a property that already has film, message us with the warranty number and we will tell you exactly what is still in force.
How long does a claim take?
A technician reviews every claim and replies within one business day. If it is approved we schedule an inspection and then repair or replace the film, at no cost for defects the warranty covers.
Still not answered?
Send us the question. Our consultants reply, 09:00 to 18:00 WIB, Monday to Saturday.
Comparing us against another film? Send the spec sheet and we will put ours next to it.
